If I drop my helmet, will Quin trigger an automated alert? No. Quin's intelligence can distinguish between a helmet drop and a dangerous impact. Drops are logged in the app for reference, but in the unlikely case that Quin’s crash protocol is triggered by a drop, you can cancel the alert during the countdown period.
What happens if a false alert is triggered? You’ll have a ten-second countdown to cancel the alert. The countdown length can also be adjusted in the settings.
Will an ambulance arrive if I don't cancel the countdown? For Quin Plus subscribers, the alert is sent to a monitoring agent after the countdown, who will attempt to contact you and your emergency contacts. If needed, they will escalate the alert to emergency services (911 or search and rescue) with the relevant information.
Do I need phone reception for Quin to send crash alerts? Yes, an active phone connection and reception are required for Quin to send crash alerts. If you have no reception, the crash data will still be stored on the device for later use.
