My Snapix won’t turn on or charge. What should I check?
- Lift the rubber cover and check that the USB-C charging cable is securely connected to the helmet and a working power source.
-
Look for the charging indicator:
- Pulsing red, orange, or green: charging.
- Solid green: fully charged.
- If there is no charging indicator, try another USB-C charging cable and power source.
- After charging, disconnect the cable and press the power button once to turn the helmet on.
A full charge takes approximately 2 hours.
If there is still no charging indicator, or the helmet will not turn on after charging, contact Lumos Support.
My Snapix is frozen or unresponsive.
Reset the helmet using a USB-C charging cable:
- Connect the helmet to a working power source.
- Wait until the charging indicator appears, then unplug the cable.
- Press the power button once to turn Snapix on again.
If it remains unresponsive, contact Lumos Support.
Firmware updates keep failing in the App.
If an update fails repeatedly, use Rescue Mode:
- Open the Lumos app and keep it in the foreground. Place your phone close to the helmet.
- Press and hold Snapix’s power button. While holding it, connect the USB-C charging cable to the helmet and a working power source.
- Keep holding the button until a blue light starts flashing in the center of the rear light. This indicates that Snapix has entered Rescue Mode.
- The App will automatically display a firmware update prompt. Follow the prompts to complete the update.
Keep the App open, your phone nearby, and the charging cable connected until the update finishes.
If the update still fails, contact Lumos Support.
Why has my rear light turned off?
Pressing the power button three times quickly switches off the rear light.
If this happened, press the power button once, or three times quickly, to restore its previous lighting pattern.
In this state, the next single press restores the rear light instead of switching to the next scene. If it still does not light up, contact Lumos Support.
Why did my helmet beep five times and switch off?
The battery has run out. Recharge the helmet before using the lights again.
For approximate battery life by lighting scene, see Getting started with your Snapix.
My Snapix won’t pair or sync with other devices.
For pairing, connection, sync settings, and compatibility guidance, visit Ride Lumos App.
Two Snapix-specific points to check:
- Pairing: start with the helmet switched off, then press and hold the power button to enter pairing mode.
-
Turning on together: All Power On is off by default on Snapix. Enable it in the App for the devices you want to turn on together.
Do I need my phone for everyday use?
No. You can turn Snapix on and off and switch between the three scenes stored on the helmet using its power button.
Use the Lumos app to customize your lighting or change App-controlled settings.
Can I use a Lumos remote with Snapix?
No. Snapix does not pair with Lumos remotes and does not support turn signals or automatic brake lights.
Use the helmet’s power button for everyday controls and the Lumos app for lighting customization.
My lights aren’t working properly after a shell change.
Turn the helmet off and check that both light modules are seated correctly and locked securely into their mounting bases. See Moving your lights to a new Snapix shell for the installation steps.
Transferring your original light modules keeps their existing App pairing and lighting settings. No re-pairing is needed.
Do not ride with loose, damaged, or missing light modules. If the modules are correctly installed but still do not work, contact Lumos Support.
Still need help?
