Recently we have noticed that there are several websites misusing our brand name and products. We would like to make you aware of the following two scams.
1. Fake websites selling our products
Currently, there are some websites advertising our helmets for an unbelievably low price. They may also run advertisements on social media, like Facebook and Instagram. When you purchase from such websites, chances are they will take your money and you will never receive your ordered product. If you are not sure whether you are looking at an authorized Lumos dealer, please contact us at support@lumoshelmet.co. For reference, please see some examples below.
2. Fake websites selling other products, but using our brand name to charge you
There are fake websites advertising several random products for an unbelievably low price. They may also run advertisements on social media, like Facebook. One specific example would be when you purchase something from this website, they will take your money and you likely will never receive your ordered product. Your bank statement will show Lumoshelmet Baltimore MD as the company that charged your card.
We would like to make it clear that this is NOT us and we do not have anything to do with it. We only sell helmets with lights (and their accessories) and no other products. If you have purchased a product other than a helmet, got charged by an entity that calls themselves: Lumoshelmet, and have not received your order, please contact your credit card company or bank immediately, so they can help and investigate further.
Warning signs are:
- The store is usually quite new and sells products at very low prices. The store may have limited information about delivery and other policies.
- The store name can be odd and may have a format like: https://xxxx.store or https://xxxx.shop, though other formats are possible.
- They may provide a strange-looking email address, usually a Gmail or Hotmail address. They will not reply to any inquiries.
- There are no reviews on the company. If you are uncertain, run a search for the name of the website and the words “scam” or “fake”.
- The “About us” page does contain a copy-paste text. If you Google a part of the text and find more websites using the exact same text, it is very likely a fake website.
We are doing everything to stop these scams. If you would have any relevant information, please do share it with us via support@lumoshelmet.co so we can investigate this matter.
*If you have sent an email to our Support Team, kindly ensure to also check your spam/junk folder for our reply, just in case it winds up there.
