When your child outgrows their Snapix, you can move the front and rear light modules to a larger Snapix shell.
The light modules are compatible across all Snapix sizes and both Standard and Mips versions. Your new shell already includes the padding, straps, and fit adjustment system—you only need to transfer the lights.
For help choosing the next size, see Choosing the right size and fitting your Snapix.
Before you begin
- Have an adult carry out the transfer.
- Turn the helmet off and disconnect any charging cable.
- Check both light modules for damage. Do not reuse damaged lights. We recommend not reusing lights involved in a crash, as damage may affect their performance and visibility.
1. Remove the lights
The front and rear lights use the same removal method:
- Facing the light you are removing, slide the module horizontally to your left, following the Unlock arrow shown below.
- Once it releases, pull the module away from its mounting base.
Repeat for the other light.
2. Install the lights in the new shell
Place the front light at the front of the new shell and the rear light at the back.
- Align the module with the three mounting slots and seat it against the base.
- Slide it horizontally to your right, following the Lock arrow, until it snaps securely into place.
Repeat for the other light, then gently check that both modules are securely attached.
3. Check before riding
- Turn the helmet on and check that both lights work.
- Press the power button to check that the lighting scenes change normally.
- Adjust the new helmet’s fit dial and straps for your child.
Both lights must be securely installed before riding. For the final fit checks, see Choosing the right size and fitting your Snapix.
Do I need to reconnect to the App?
No. Moving the original light modules to a new shell keeps your existing App pairing and lighting settings. No re-pairing or setup is needed.
Important care reminders
- Only remove the lights when replacing a shell or light module. Repeated removal and installation may damage the mounting parts.
- Do not ride with either light module missing.
- Do not open or modify the light modules. This can damage their seals and allow water inside.
