Make sure the Lumos app has permission to find and connect to nearby devices.
Keep the helmet or light close to your phone.
Check that the device can turn on. If it cannot, charge it using its normal charging method.
Use the latest Lumos app.
Check Bluetooth permissions
On iOS: open Settings → Privacy & Security → Bluetooth and allow access for the Lumos app. Turning on Bluetooth alone does not grant the app permission to use it. See Apple’s Bluetooth permission guide.
On Android: open your phone’s settings for the Lumos app and check Permissions. Allow Nearby devices if that permission is shown. Menu names vary by phone and Android version. See Google’s app-permission guide.
After changing a permission, return to the Lumos app and try again.

My device does not appear when I try to pair it
A device that is simply powered on may not be in pairing mode.
Put the helmet or light into pairing mode using its physical power button. Follow the instructions for your model.
In the Lumos app, open Dashboard and tap +.
Look for the device in the pairing screen.
Tap Pair beside the correct device.
Complete any remaining setup, including the mounting position for a bike light.
Pairing indicators vary by model. Use the model-specific instructions or the in-app help rather than expecting every device to show the same light pattern.
Whether the device is missing from the pairing screen, fails during pairing, or remains offline.
Whether it previously worked with this phone.
A screenshot or short video of the issue.
The firmware version, if you can access it.
Do not delete the app or clear its data as a troubleshooting shortcut. App-only draft scenes and custom flash patterns cannot be recovered after deletion.
