Wake an already-paired remote with one turn button. Use both buttons to enter pairing mode when pairing it with the app.
4. The remote connects to the app, but some devices do not respond
Check that:
The helmets and lights are powered on and nearby.
The remote and the devices you want to control are paired with the app on the same phone.
The intended devices have completed their BLE firmware updates.
The devices support the remote-controlled function you are testing.
A BLE remote cannot control a device that is still using 2.4G.
If your BLE remote no longer controls a Matrix, any Kickstart model, or Street, contact Lumos Support. These helmets cannot be upgraded to BLE.
For helmets and lights that support BLE, finish the remaining updates. After each update, turn the device on and wait for automatic reconnection. You do not need to pair those devices again.
Not every remote controls every product. For example, Remote Lite does not provide turn-signal control for Firefly or Firefly Mini. This is separate from using scene and power synchronization through your paired setup.
· My devices have moved to BLE
Remote Lite and the charging-contact remote cannot control them on BLE. This is a connection-system mismatch, not an app setting you can switch on.
Make sure the helmet or light has completed its initial firmware update and is paired with and connected to the app.
If the square identification card appears, follow the 2.4G-to-BLE upgrade prompts.
If no card appears, check whether a Matrix or Kickstart 2 is paired with the app. If so, the app keeps your setup on 2.4G and does not offer the remote upgrade.
Without one of these helmets, pair the remote directly with the app only if it is confirmed to be running BLE. If you are unsure, contact Lumos Support.
7. I selected the wrong charging connection
The selection currently cannot be undone in the app.
Do not continue with instructions for a different remote type. Contact Lumos Support with a photo of the charging connection and a screenshot of the app.
Restarting the app to retry a failed update does not undo this selection.
8. The remote update failed
Restart the Lumos app and the affected device, then retry the update.
For the manual USB-C remote update, follow the app’s instructions and the procedure in How to upgrade your USB-C remote and devices to BLE. Release the held buttons only when the yellow and red indicator lights are both on.
