Understanding the Blue Light Indicator on the Lumos Nyxel Helmet
The blue light on your Lumos Nyxel helmet plays an important role in keeping you informed about its connection status with the Quin app and the Quin sensor system. Here's what the different flashing patterns mean and how you can manage them:
Flashing Blue Light – Connection with the Quin App
When the blue light on your Lumos Nyxel is flashing, it indicates that the helmet is connected to the Quin app via Bluetooth. This is a normal part of the connection process and helps reassure users that their device is actively communicating.
Fast Flashing – Reminder to Connect to the Quin Sensor
If the blue light is flashing rapidly, it’s a gentle reminder that while the helmet is connected to the Quin app, it is not yet connected to the Quin crash detection sensor. This can happen if the Quin sensor hasn't been paired or activated properly. Simply ensure that your Quin-equipped helmet is turned on and paired correctly with the app.
Slow Flashing – Fully Connected
When the blue light flashes slowly, it confirms that the helmet is fully connected to both the Quin app and the internal Quin sensor system. At this point, all smart safety features including crash detection are active.
Will the flashing blue light turn off?
Yes, simply just leave the helmet stationary for a short period of time. Once the helmet detects no movement, the blue light will automatically turn off, indicating that it's gone into a low-power or standby mode. This helps preserve battery life while minimizing distraction
