A scene brings together the lighting settings for your Lumos helmets and lights. Instead of adjusting each device separately, you can switch your whole setup to the lighting you want for your ride.
Start with the three preset scenes, or customize them to suit your preferences.
Before you begin
Update the Lumos app and install the firmware updates available for your devices.
Pair all the helmets and lights you want to use together with the app on the same phone.
Keep your devices nearby and sufficiently charged.
Devices must use the same connection system to sync with one another. Devices on the original system cannot sync with devices on the new BLE system.
Press the power button once on any helmet or light to switch your setup to the next scene.
View the current scene in the app
Turn on your helmets and lights and wait for them to connect to the app.
Open Dashboard.
Find the Current scene card.
View the current scene shown on the card.
The app displays the current scene of your connected helmets and lights in real time. You cannot switch scenes from the app.
Turn your devices on and off together
You can turn on one helmet or light and have the others turn on with it. When you finish riding, turning off one device can turn off the rest.
Check the power settings
Each device has separate settings for following another device’s power-on and power-off actions.
Turn on your devices and connect them to the app.
On Dashboard, tap a connected helmet or light to open its details.
Check these settings:
All power on: allows this device to turn on when you turn on another device in your setup.
All power off: allows this device to turn off when you turn off another device in your setup.
Enable the settings you want, and repeat for the other helmets and lights.
These switches control how a device responds. They are not buttons for immediately turning your setup on or off.
Use a device’s physical power button
To turn everything on: turn on one helmet or light using its normal power-button action. The other devices with All power on enabled turn on too.
To turn everything off: turn off one helmet or light using its normal power-button action. The other devices with All power off enabled turn off too.
Use your device’s usual power-off action. A single press while it is on switches scenes—it does not turn the setup off.
All power onAll power off
Enable the power controls, then use one helmet or light to turn your setup on or off together.
Does syncing mean every light must look the same?
No. A scene can contain different settings for different lights—for example, a steady front light and a flashing rear light.
Switching scenes together means each device moves to its settings for that scene. Lights using matching flash patterns can flash in sync, while lights set to steady remain steady.
If a scene does not switch correctly, check the following:
Make sure the device is paired with the app on the same phone as the other devices.
Check that it has enough charge and is nearby.
Confirm that its firmware is up to date and that it uses the same connection system as the other devices.
Turn the device on before switching scenes.
If the issue involves turning devices on or off together, enable All power on or All power off.
When changing scenes in the app, make sure the device is connected.
If some devices switch while others do not, double-click the on/off button of a device that is already in the correct scene. This can bring the remaining devices into the same scene.
If the devices show the same flash pattern but are not synchronized, double-click the on/off button of a device in the correct scene to synchronize them.
